BIDittle Club usually meets once or twice
a month after school for 90-minutes. The
program begins with a review or a short
lesson highlighting a different facet of the
game.
Students select a partner and play for a 20-minute period, after which players switch
tables and partners and play another round. Table cards are available to instruct
students where to move. Players enjoy playing 2 or 3 rounds. The player with the highest
number of points after all rounds wins! Prizes can be given out to monthly winners. The
points can be recorded and an end-of-year prize can be given out to the school
champion. The more times the players attend, the more points that are earned.
New players are always encouraged to attend. During the first round of card play, the
new players are introduced to a presentation on the game rules. The new player then
jumps into the game and plays for round two and three.
BIDittle community tournaments can also be arranged to get students from different
schools playing together. Tournaments can easily be scheduled at the local library or
bridge center. Tournaments are also a great way for family interaction. Grandparents,
parents, and children can team together for family fun.
